Artist Statement:
This piece is a tribute to the enduring rhythm of Latin culture. Using natural stones, I’ve depicted two flamenco dancers in motion—symbols of ancestral wisdom, emotional expression, and creative resilience. The work speaks to *Culture as Knowledge*, honoring traditions that continue to teach and inspire. It also reflects *Healing in Community*, where dance becomes a shared language of joy and emotional release. Finally, it gestures toward *A Future We Shape*, imagining a world where Latin voices lead through art, movement, and connection to the earth. The simplicity of the materials contrasts with the depth of meaning, inviting viewers to feel the pulse of heritage in every stone. “Still in Motion” is my attempt to capture the sacred dialogue of flamenco—where emotion moves through stillness, and two souls speak without words.
